Koelnmesse, the organiser of imm Cologne, announced the cancellation of the upcoming 2025 edition in January. The decision followed detailed discussions with the Association of the German Furniture Industry (VDM) and the German Furniture and Kitchen Retailers Association (BVDM). In a joint statement, Koelnmesse’s chairman, along with the presidents of VDM and BVDM, explained that the pause in 2025 was prompted by the challenging conditions facing the furniture industry in Germany and Europe.
The further development of the international trade show for interior design will involve new concepts and formats meant to reflect the changing needs and requirements of the sector.
