Organised by the British Diabetic Association, the Diabetes UK Professional Conference (DUKPC) takes place once per year, in a different city. Its 2025 edition is scheduled for 26, 27 and 28 February, and will be held in Glasgow. The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SEC Glasgow) will open its doors to more than 2,000 healthcare professionals specialising in diabetes.
DUKPC 2025 will present a powerful networking and educational platform for the sector. Its seven-track programme will feature plenary sessions, discussions, workshops, and named lectures - Banting Memorial Lecture on the first conference day, Janet Kinson Lecture on the second, and Dorothy Hodgkin Lecture on the final day. Leading experts will explore in detail the associations between diabetes and pregnancy, kidney disease, liver disease, neurodiversity, cardiovascular health, and more. Other important topics will include early detection of type 1 diabetes and the following treatment, dietary and lifestyle recommendations, technology applications, and workforce challenges.
