Since its inaugural edition in 1964, electronica Munich has confirmed its position as the number-one trade fair for electronic components, systems, applications and solutions. The trade show takes place once every two years and occupies 18 exhibition halls at Messe Munich. Close to 3,500 exhibitors promote their brands and advanced technologies during each electronica. They are joined by approximately 80,000 professionals in design, development and production.

The electronics trade show brings forward the novelties and crucial developments in the industry Along with its proven highlight topics, electronica begins to put stronger emphasis on AI, smart grids and smart energy. The supporting programme gets constantly enriched with fresh content. There are two recently launched conferences - the electronica medical conference related to e-health, and the electronica cyber physical systems conference centred around embedded systems.
