Genera is one of the most prominent European trade fairs dedicated solely to energy and environmental good practices. The expo attracts local and international leaders and specialists from the respective industries. The annual event is organised by IFEMA Madrid and is supported by the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), under the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

The trade fair welcomes over 500 exhibitors with a wide range of professional profiles, such as consultants, engineers, construction firms, industrial energy users, equipment manufacturers, installers, project promoters, researchers, real estate developers, and public administrations. The expo can boast a growing international presence, and over 40% of all exhibiting companies come from countries outside Spain, such as Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, China, Turkey, and more.
More than 43,000 attendees worldwide visit Genera Madrid, willing to explore the latest tech innovations in the field, meet and interact with leading professionals and discover the top industry trends that shape the sector.
