Every year, Messe Dortmund opens its doors to model-building specialists and passionate visitors willing to explore and share their expertise and interest in model building and model sports. The approaching 2025 edition will be held between 10 and 13 April and will focus on sustainability as a primary topic.

INTERMODELLBAU 2025 will display high-quality models and layouts distributed in eight thematic zones across the Messe Dortmund’s halls. More than 500 eminent world modellers will exhibit, meet face-to-face, and gain knowledge and experience through interaction with peers. Some of the themes featured in INTERMODELLBAU 2025 include:

• Steam model building: presents miniature steam trains, detailed models of historical steam locomotives, and an exciting garden railway;
• Railway model building: showcases the latest railway innovations, including 30 railway systems from various European countries like France, Norway, the Netherlands, etc.;
• RC-Modellbau & car model making: features racing-driving car models, allowing racing fans to explore various vehicles.

INTERMODELLBAU 2025 will host many exciting side activities, such as live demos, practical workshops, and competitions. Exciting zones like the flight area will showcase spectacular performances, loops and other flying tricks, and the water attractions will reproduce ship models and provide exciting water experiences to the visitors.
