The Leipzig Book Fair with the reading festival “Leipzig reads” is among the most important marketplaces for the global publishing industry. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the cancellation of the regular exhibition. Leipziger Messe 2021 will instead offer a rich online programme and selected workshops and author signings throughout the city.
Leipziger Buchmesse is an efficient combination of cultural work, prestige advertising and business. The comprehensive show has displayed the entire spectrum of genres and types of literature in Leipzig since 1946. Besides books, you can find book art/print graphics, digital offers, audio and e-books, postcards, calendars and maps, among other things. Readers from the public audience, authors, professional marketers and GLAM institutions, as well as literature and education mediators, are all eager to see what the show has for them this year. That is because the entire European book market is defined by it in a myriad of diverse ways. More than 400 international exhibitors show the latest developments in the literary world.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
Most of all , the location was excellent. It was easy to access from the airport by being so close to the main station and the direct trains to the exhibition were very close as well.
The train station proved very good for getting some thing hot to eat after a long day at the exhibition. The large supermarket was in the station as well.
