Prolight + Sound 2025 will be a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the PLS fair, its role in the event industry and its future development.The organisers of the global exhibition dedicated to everything light, audio, stage, and media will host this special edition between 8 and 11 April 2025 at its traditional venue. Messe Frankfurt will gather event and entertainment technology industry representatives under one roof to explore unique possibilities and innovative solutions.
During the 4 days of Prolight + Sound 2025, over 500 exhibitors will demonstrate innovative technologies and groundbreaking services. More than 25,000 PLS participants will discover exciting trends, place orders, and expand their network. Responding to the interest by trade visitors, Prolight + Sound will expand its theater and stage technology area for the 2025 edition and beyond. Its new concept will incorporate a Theatre College with seminars and workshops, a Theatre Stage dedicated to presentations and talks, and a Networking Area inviting professionals to connect in a friendly atmosphere.
Prolight + Sound 2025 will feature an interactive structure of themed stages, captivating live performances, and award ceremonies. Specialised keynote sessions will cover essential industry-related topics such as skilled workforce shortages, education, AI, and sustainability.

Prolight + Sound Frankfurt is a unique trade show dedicated to the global media and entertainment community. The trade fair spans various themed areas, including ProMedia, ProGreen and The Performance + Production Hub. What is new for PLS 2025
The Prolight + Sound 2025 experience will revolve around three main themes. FutureScapes: Worlds of Experience Between Immersion and AI will explore the role of the latest technologies in stage productions. MultiTech: Flexible and Smart will delve into the use of multifunctional innovations in the theatre industry. ProGreen: Impulses for a More Sustainable Event Industry will offer solutions related to energy efficiency, low-impact materials, strategies and best practices.
Being an anniversary edition, Prolight + Sound 2025 will be filled with surprises, premieres and special features. One such introduction will be the MusicOneX format, designed to consolidate the worlds of music creation, affordable technology, and marketing. It will be located at Messe Frankfurt’s Hall 11 and will consist of interactive product presentations, conference sessions, workshops and live sets.
